Emily is  a 200 hr registered yoga instructor and aerial yoga instructor, yoga for oncology and holds a 12 hour certification from the Prison Yoga Project. Having practiced yoga for nearly a decade.  What began as a casual hobby became a serious passion.  She has attended many classes including yin, deep stretch, strengthen and sweat, pre-natal yoga, hot vinyasa, slow burn vinyasa, and aerial yoga.  A long term goal is to be certified to teach therapeutic children’s yoga.  Emily believes that all bodies and all minds can be improved by the practice of yoga and mindful meditation.  

Emily’s  goal has always been to teach therapy yoga. Each person carries burdens and trauma that  weighs them down.  Yoga can be a relief from stress, grief, abuse, and addiction.

While Emily loves maintainig a healthy lifestyle she aslo has her guilty pleasures including the  occasional pizza and a really good glass of wine.  To quote Emily “I believe good health and a happy life can be maintained with balance, not restriction.”  When not in a yoga studio, she can be found outdoors at Philbrook and having lunch dates at Queenie’s with her awesome little boy.
